PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:

Forensics students who were supposed to meet with Ms. Herbison yesterday will meet Friday at your scheduled time.

Science Club Meeting Friday morning at 7:45 in Mrs. Knorr's room.

Second semester Teacher Aide students: On Thursday, you will report to the High School Cafe for study hall during your scheduled Teacher Aide hour.  The study hall teacher will distribute information to you about your Teacher Aide placement and directions to get started.

2nd SEMESTER PARKING PERMITS need to be on your vehicles by Thursday

Athletes interested in Track & Field this spring, please stop by room 228 starting Monday January 26 and pick-up an information packet and sign-up. Sign-up for Co-Ed Track & Field will continue through Friday, Jan. 30

Those seniors working on the local scholarship application that they need to order their transcripts through parchment.com after the Semester ends when GPA and Ranks are updated. You will use this information and PDF file for each of your scholarships you are applying for.

You will hear an announcement when that happens toward the end of the month.

NHS is taking part in the Teens For Jeans Jean Drive.  Clean out your closet and make a kid's day by dropping off your jeans at these convenient locations:  high school office, middle school office, Tomahawk Community Bank, Park City Credit Union and the hospital.  Please make sure they are dropped off by Feb 13th.  Thank you for your participation!

Congratulations to the Hatchet wrestling team as they defeated Athens last night 35-31.  Winning matches for Tomahawk was Kaleb Kaminski, Slade Erdman, Dane Borchardt, Jake Borchardt, Tasha Carstensen, Isaac Tomek, & Keagan Jach.

Next competition is Thursday @ Lakeland. The varsity record now stands at 10-4 for the season. Winning JV matches was Jacob Matti, Bryce Bishop, & Tyler Wittmann.

 

There will be a Prom meeting during lunch today in Rm. 241.

 

If you are interested in joining the spring trap shooting team, stop in the office and sign up.

 

Make room in your closet by sorting out the dress clothes you have outgrown and donate them to a good cause.  Give a middle or high school student the opportunity to prepare for interviews and other special events requiring a nice dress code.  FBLA is running a clothing drive now through Feb. 2nd.  Needed items are nice dress pants, khakis, dress shirts, ties, skirts, dresses and dress shoes.  The Resource Hour dontating the most dress clothes will win a hot chocolate buffet during Reading Wednesday, and knowing you made a positive difference in your community will satisfy you too!

If a student is sick and needs to go home, school policy is to come to the office and call home.  Do not text parents to come and pick you up.

Students planning on bringing a non-THS student to the Winter Ball must submit a form by January 28th.  Forms can be picked up in the office.  WInter Ball is January 31st.  Tickets in advance are $8.00 and will be on sale the week of January 26th.  Tickets at the door will be $10.00.

Study Buddies will be held Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday's after school.

Seniors, if you did not go the Financial Aid and Scholarship Meeting please pick up a packet in the Guidance Office.

Senior students interested in taking a CNA night class here at THS during second semester, please see Ms. Craft in the guidance office.

 

Any girls wanting to play softball, open gym is Monday and Wednesday mornings from 6:30 am to 7:45 am in the multi-purpose room.  If you have any questions please see Coach Larson.

Juniors interested in taking an ACT Prep Class: there will be a prep sesson held at UW-Marathon County n Wausau on February 28th from 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, and the cost is $30.  Sign up early, as seats are limited.  The deadline to register is February 20th.  See guidance for questions.

 

Juniors and Seniors - check your Hatchet email account for information to register on Parchment, the new transcript program. Also keep in mind that your first 4 transcript requests are free, thereafter, you will be charged $5.00 per request.
