Pledge of Allegiance

 

Wednesday, April 16, 2014 

 

 

Seniors – please get your permission slip in for the class trip! All slips must be turned in so we can confirm our reservations.  Talk to your class advisor if you have any questions.  There are more permission slips in the office or in Mrs. Jones room if you lost yours or didn’t get one.

 

Students who applied for CNA in the fall, just a reminder that interviews will be held  Wednesday, April 16th from 8:00 - 11:00 a.m., and  Monday, April 21st, from 12:00 - 3:30 p.m. Please bring $10 and your social security number with you.

 

Students attending Prom, who would like to have their photos in the slide show that will be shown at Prom, should bring your photos into Ms. Knorr or email the photos directly to her. Photos are due by April 16th. If you have any questions, please stop by Ms. Knorr's room.

 

Prom Picture sign up sheet is outside on the wall by the Guidance Office if you are interested in having your pictures professionally taken at Prom.  Please sign up and schedule your time!

 

All Prom participants...we are in need of "white" xmas lights to help with our decorations.  If you have any you can lend please bring them to Mrs. Dallman's room as soon as possible. 

 

National Honor Society and Varsity Club members who still need community service hours...the blood drive will be held on April 29 and the sign-up to work is in the office.  Please come down and sign-up for a shift.  Also, don't forget to fill out your community service slip and get it signed before you turn it in.  This is for NHS and Varsity Club both.

 

 

Seniors interested in performing at graduation - senior auditions will be held on Wednesday, May 7 at 3:45 pm in the auditorium.  If you have any questions please see Mr. Madaj or Mr. Colburn.

 

NHS Members - Please turn in your fiedltrip permission slips and money to Mrs. Johnson no later than April 25th if you plan to go on the NHS end-of-the year fieldtrip.

 

Congratulations to the girls track team on winning the Northland Pines Relay Invite last night. The boys placed 5th, full team results can be found at the team website.

 

 

EARTH WEEK EVENTS

Monday April 21: during resource we're sending out "I pledge to..." for Earth Day that will be put up in the lunch room on how people can make the Earth a cleaner place. 

Tuesday April 22: trash pick-up during both lunch hours with pizza and drinks provided. 

Friday: popcorn day (more info later)

All week: Earth Week trivia.  The first teacher to email the answer to Ms. Knorr will get a prize for their 1st hour. 

 

GUIDANCE NEWS

Juniors and Seniors - check your Hatchet email account for information to register on Parchment, the new transcript program. Also keep in mind that your first 4 transcript requests are free, thereafter, you will be charged $5.00 per request.

B. Davis Scholarship - Due May 26.

Americasnism and Government Scholarship is available for students grades 10 through 12.

The American Legion scholarship test is available for students in grades 10-12.  See guidance for details. (through 3-14)
