PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

The scholarship help session for Thurs, Feb. 11th, during RH is canceled due to the Social Norms Survey. You can sign up for next session Tues, Feb. 16th and/or Thurs, Feb. 18th in Guidance.  We will then meet in the LMC on those two days with Ms. Herbison.  Mrs. Billings as well, if she is available.

The Tomahawk Hatchet Bank is celebrating the installment of their new Hatchet Green Machine! All week you have the chance to win a basket of Tomahawk Hatchet Gear! To enter, visit the Hatchet Green Machine, located in the Commons Area. Write your name and resource hour on your receipt and place it in the box located at the Hatchet Bank. The winner will be selected at random during resource hour on Thursday!

Today's additional contest will be a trivia question! The first teacher to email Mrs. Dachel the answer will win cookies for their classroom! The trivia question is: What country has the highest concentration of ATM’s per capita?    

Are you interested in Radiography as a career field? Are you interested in knowing more about the  admission and selection process for the program that Nicolet College shares with Lakeshore Technical College? If you answered yes to either of these questions then plan on attending “Radiography Information Night” which will be held in the UTC Fireside Room on Tuesday, March 1st from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Students attending will learn about the admission requirements and selection process for this program, hear from  professionals in the field talk about Radiography as a career field, tour the Radiography lab, and hear from students currently in the program.  If you have any questions or want more information, please contact? Ms. Eichman.

FBLA officers and junior officers are reminded to turn in their permission slips for MiniBusiness World.

The NHS meeting has been rescheduled for next week Thursday, February 18, at 7:45 in Mrs. Johnson’s Rm.  The executive board meeting will be at 7:30.

There will be a NHS candidate meeting in the HS LMC on Wednesday, Feb. 17th 7:30-8:00 AM and 6:00-6:30 PM.

Sign-up for Co-ed Track and Field in room 228.  All important information about the upcoming season can be picked up there.

The Valentine's Day Flower Sale: you can purchase a flower that can be sent to someone during Resource Hour next Thursday. Flower colors are Red for love, Pink for Crush, Hot Pink for Friendship, and White for Appreciation. Flowers will be available for purchase before school and during both lunch hours in the cafeteria. 

Local Scholarships are Due:  Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at 3:30 p.m. 

Did you make a resolution to get into better shape in 2016? Do you like free stuff? If so, consider joining us in the cardio room on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays after school to complete a lazy man's marathon. You don't have to run and you don't have to do all 26.2 miles at one time. When you log 26.2 miles you win a water bottle! Log 100 miles and get a t-shirt! See Ms. Eichman in the School Counseling office to find out more.

A reminder to all girls planning on playing softball to see Coach Larson for softball camp information.  Those that have already received the registration form, please get that to Coach Larson ASAP.

THS Baseball open gym Monday and Wednesday mornings 6:30 AM to 7:30 AM in the HS Gym and Multi Purpose Room through March 16th.

Softball open gym will be on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, 6:45 to 7:30 in the multi-purpose room through March 10th.  Softball open gym is open to anyone that wants to improve their softball skills. 

Reminder to students with parking permits, 2nd semester permits are due on your vehicles Jan. 22nd.

Don't forget to order your yearbook from Josten's. Yearbooks are $55.00 Jan. 30 thru March18.  March 19 no longer taking orders.

The Prom Committee is looking for white Christmas lights!  If you have Christmas lights that are white with a green cord, please bring them to Mrs. Roe's room!  If you want them back, you MUST attach a piece of masking tape with your name on them to the end of the strand.  All other strands will be donated to Student Council.  Thank you!

The Hatchet Booster Club and Tomahawk BP are teaming up.  The Tomahawk BP will donate $.02 per gallon of all gas sold at PUMP 8 to the Hatchet Booster Club.  Help support THS athletics by using PUMP 8 at Tomahawk BP to fill up today at the HATCHET PRIDE PUMP. “

YA/STW students must have their schedules turned in to 1) the office, 2) Haiku, 3) your RH teacher, 4) 7th hour SH teacher today for this week or you will not be released.

Attention all athletes: Morning lifting is Monday, Wednesday, and Friday each week.  Lifting promptly starts at 6:15 and we will be done by 7:30.

There will be Directions, Slide Show, List of scholarships to apply for, Application, and Addendums if applicable.  Local Scholarships are Due:  Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at 3:30 p.m.  Late or Incomplete applications will not be eligible for consideration! These are submitted electronically on high school computers.  We stress that students do not use their chrome books to complete scholarships.
