Pledge of Allegiance

HOMECOMING - September 26th - 30th:

Dress up results from Tacky Tuesday are as follows: 

4th place = FR with 50% Participation, 3rd place = SO 60%, 2nd  = JR 65%, 1st = SR 72%?

Participation results from last night's girls varsity volleyball game are as follows:

4th place goes to the Freshmen with 31% participating, 3rd Sophomores with 41%, 2nd Juniors with 42%, 1st Seniors with 45% Participating in the festivities!  

Most importantly, we had 40% of our total high school population turn out to support their classmates!  Hatchet Pride!!!

Two days under our belts and the overall results are as follows:

     In 4th place with a total of 450 points are the Freshmen

     In 3rd place with 900 points are the Sophomores

     2nd place is currently being held by the Juniors with 950 points

     and the Seniors are in 1st place with a two day total of 1,000 points.  

Please remember that tonight we will have float decorating down at Sara Park from 4 - 6 and then the Boys Volleyball Tournament @ the Field house starting at 6:30.  ALL are welcome!  Have a GREAT Homecoming Day 3 here at Hatchet High!

Voting for King and Queen will begin immediately and will run through the end of the day tomorrow.

Float decorating will also start tonight at 4:00-7:00 PM down at Sara Park.  

Juniors, please start bringing in nonperishable food items as soon as possible.  You can drop them off with any of your advisors.  

NHS members- please pick up you smarties for the homecoming parade from Mrs. Johnson.  Also- reminder to all NHS members that high way clean up will be This Sunday, October 2nd from 1-3.  We will meet at Cerny’s.

FBLA members, if you are interested in walking in the parade on Friday, please email Dakota Cole at the myhatchets email by Thursday.

Seniors, by Friday, Sep. 30th the Most Likelies Survey, another survey and your senior/baby pictures are due!! Go to your Haiku page under Extras, Class of 2017 and then the Yearbook tab.  This year we will not be accepting photos directly from photographers.  Please have your photos submitted and surveys completed by FRIDAY, SEPT. 30th for the yearbook.

Senior's school spirit picture will be taken Fri, Sept. 30.

Homecoming reading challenge!  As September is the start of school and our hatchet students are great readers – here is a challenge to you!  The class with the most pictures of students reading books from now until 3:35 Wednesday during homecoming week gets the Homecoming points for the day! 

 Rules:

• The students can take selfies or group shots – picture must be clear (students identifiable and book cover showing and appropriate for school)

• Pictures cannot be taken during class time or Resource Hour*

o *Except with pre-approval from instructor

• Pictures must be shared by 3:35 on Wednesday to qualify

• Pictures are to be shared with Mrs. Billing on Google Drive (billingp@myhatchets.org)

• Students MUST include names of students in picture and grade to qualify!

• Pictures submitted with in appropriate content will be subject to disciplinary actions.

 *All pictures submitted will be posted on the Library Facebook page

Tomahawk Cross-Country JV Co-Eds competed at the 11-team Edgar Invitational last night in their annual event. Both squads were victorious in their races. The lone medalist for the Hatchets was Lucas Tjugum as he placed 16th in a seasonal best effort of 18:40.

Top JV finishers were: Keaton Jed (4th), Anthony Ierulli (5th), and Sam VonSchrader (6th)

Top JV girls were: Kate Krueger (2nd), Natalia Robinson (5th), Jackie Wick (7th), and Tehya Street (8th)

On Saturday the varsity teams traveled to Oshkosh for the Lourdes Invite. The boys placed 7th in the small schools race while the girls placed 12th. Top finishers were Mason Webster (84th) and Haley Voermans-Dean (72nd). Next race is tomorrow at Waupaca.

An Army Recruiter will be here Thursday, 9/29 and Wednesday, 10/5 during the lunch periods.

Good morning Hatchets!  It is time to announce the Superfan of the week.  This week's winner was the most outstanding fan at last week's volleyball game vs. Medford.  Congratulations to Freddy Koth.  Please come to the office to collect your prize!  Keep up the great school spirit during Homecoming week and you could be the next THS Superfan!

Students, please stop by your class advisors room during passing to get your pictures.

Study Buddies is from 3:45-5:00 Monday thru Thursday in the multi media lab Rm 235.  Students do not need to sign up ahead of time to attend. 

Students, remember to purchase a parking permit for your vehicle if you are parking at school.

If anyone is interested in joining the Friends Program this year, please stop in the HS office to pick up a form.

Morning lifting is at 6:15 sharp for anyone interested in working out in the mornings.

There is a sign up for this year’s contender program posted on the board. Please sign up by Friday September 9th.
