Hatchet Field and Track
The Hatchet Pride Project was a private fundraiser organized by community members, coaches, and parents to assist the School District of Tomahawk to repair and upgrade their outdoor athletic facilities. Due to financial constraints, the District was not able to afford to repair and make the necessary basic upgrades that were necessary to improve the safety and handicap accessibility of these areas.
On April 14, 2020 The School Board approved moving forward with the Hatchet Pride project after donations of over $2.3 million dollars was raised and donated to the District to complete the $2.6 million project which allowed the District to proceed with their needed upgrades to the track, football field and bleacher/concession stand areas. Construction was completed in September of 2020. The graphic above is the conceptual rendering of the project. Donations continue to be accepted, if you are interested in donating, you may do so by writing a personal check directly to the School District of Tomahawk, designating your donation for the Hatchet Pride Project.
