The Board of Education of the Tomahawk School District has selected the firm of Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates (HYA) to assist in the search for the next District Superintendent. Superintendent Search
The School District of Tomahawk, Wisconsin seeks a Superintendent for the 2022-23 school year, beginning July 1, 2022. The chosen candidate will serve approximately 170 staff and 1,207 students under one roof, in a 4k through 12th grade complex. The District has a 16.3 million dollar budget.
The School District of Tomahawk, located in Lincoln County in north central Wisconsin, is approximately 40 miles north of Wausau. The District serves the City of Tomahawk and the surrounding townships of Birch, Bradley, Harrison, King, Little Rice, Nokomis, Rock Falls, Skanawan, Tomahawk, and Wilson. This area has an approximate population of 11,783 residents. Tomahawk is also home to several large-scale industrial and manufacturing businesses.
The community and School District work closely together to provide joint activities and services to benefit all who live in the area. Tomahawk citizens enjoy the school complex facilities, including a swimming pool, a fitness/weightlifting facility, an indoor track, and a fieldhouse. The District has 720 combined acres of School Forest. In the fall of 2020, the Hatchet Pride Project was completed. This mainly community-funded construction collaboration consists of a new track, sports turf football field, and bleacher/concession stand areas.
Tomahawk is a friendly small town surrounded by more than fifteen lakes and flowages offering many recreational and fishing opportunities.
