On Friday May 24th, the Congressional Art Competition held its show opening and the winners were revealed. Mrs. Hinke, Mrs. Burzynski, Jordan Teal, Gavyn Palmer and Lance Knight were in attendance and partook in the festivities of the show opening. Jordan Teal took 3rd place with her self portrait painted out of coffee. Jordin's work will be on display for one year in the Congressman's office. There were 96 artworks entered from schools all over the 7th congressional district. This year the jurors were curators, professional artists and art teachers. The Jurors place 1st, 3rd, and 4th place. 2nd Place is chosen by the popularity votes on the Congressman's Facebook page. The show will be on display until July 13th, at the Center of Visual arts (next to the Grand theater in Wausau).
